Mini Review - Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

The orange stain on my hand is in fact the foundation blended in

Recently, I was sent a small tester of Maybelline Fit Me in 120 Classic Ivory to try. First of all I think it was too dark for my skin as it left me looking very orange, which you can see from the photo of my hand (the orange stain is in fact the foundation rubbed in). The product  smells very perfumed, like a cheap soap and once it completely dried it looked like I just needed to give my face a good wash. I don't really like giving negative reviews, but I was completely disappointed with this product. It didn't conceal blemishes or redness; it fact it highlighted them. The product actually clung to them and made them look even more noticeable and orange. Overall, this product is definitely not for my skin-tone or skin-type and I wouldn't recommend it.

However, if you do want to give it a go, it's available from the usual places boots, superdrug etc and retails for £7.99. And don't worry people, all poisitivity will be resumed shortly!

Have any of you tried it and had any better experiences?

E x

  8. I agree, I've used Maybelline in the past and I'm not really a fan! For a little extra I bought Max Factor Lasting Performance Foundation (£9.99) and it's perfect for on an evening when wearing some light tan underneath. For everyday use I have No7 (where I got a match test!) and I love my foundation now. It's so light but still a good coverage.

  11. My mum uses maybelline foundations me however its a no go just because like your review its way to dark on my skin and makes me look very orange this is mainly the fact I am very pale toned :) but I do like the Maybelline whipped mouse pot foundations their more generous colour wise and look nice on but the liquids are very orange :( great review xx

  18. I have this foundation and I dislike it as well! I was disappointed because the product packaging seemed sleek, and I was genuinely excited about it. Unfortunately, it made my skin look dry and splotchy and there was almost no coverage. I occasionally use it in the summer when I want a REALLY light foundation, but other than that it's pretty useless :(
Thanks for the comment, by the way, following you now :)

  21. Good to know! I have the FIT concealer and it is so-so. Goes on nicely but doesn't last nearly as long as the Mac Prolong Wear that I loooove.

  30. Oh dear, this doesn't sound very nice at all.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of drug store foundations, think they only one I've liked is the L'oreal True Match as they've got a range of shades. But I will skip any of them for my NARS Sheer Glow. Expensive but worth every penny! xo
