The last time I did a post like this, it was all about monochrome, well we aren't in Kansas anymore! The galaxy trend is all about bright colour fused together. It is definitely a statement and makes you stand out as well as giving an edge. To keep this look, looking on trend and not too over the top, keep the print to one item of clothing only and keep the rest of your outfit simple with block, plain colours such as black disco pants with the tees or a black jacket with the dresses. Here's a few of my picks, all links are in the caption!

If you are new to this trend, I suggest baby-steps (like I'm taking!). My favourite is the leggings, especially the ones from Your Eyes Lie. I'd pair them with an over-sized tee, biker boots and a leather jacket.

    I really love the galaxy print trend! I got a gorgeous little galaxy print top in Matalan last year but it's a bit too summery for this time of year :( need to get my hands on some leggings or a cute galaxy phone case!

    The galaxy trend hasn't seemed to hit the small town in South Africa that I live in but when it does - I'll be pretty happy! These tops are all gorgeous but I think my favorite must be the leggings!!!

    aah I love this trend but unfortunately I can't wear it. where I live its seen as a 'teeny' thing and there are so many photos on facebook of people standing behind girls in galaxy leggins pretending to throw up. damn teenies ruining galaxy print for me! xxx

    I've fallen in love with the Nasty Gal dress - the shape, the more subdued pattern and colours... ahhh!! It's gorgeous!! Unfortunately my budget won't stretch that far at the moment, but I will covet it from afar until it's either reduced or I'm in the money! haha lovely blog post xx

    I love the look of this trend and am soon to the the proud owner of a very colourful galaxy print skater dress!!!

    I feel in love with some grey and black galaxy print leggings, think they'd look adorable with a black jumper and ankle boots, but my legs are too chunky to pull that off, devasted!

    I don't think this trend is for me, but as you say baby steps is probably key. I'd probably, like you, start off with the leggings and tone it down a bit with a long plain dark top?

    I love galaxy print! I have a pair of leggings very similar to the middle pair from Pretty Sucks, but I got mine from ebay for a fraction of the price. I prefer not to pay over the odds for trends like this because you never know how long they're going to be around :) xx
