All about the cut out boot

Cut out boots are every where right now! I have a few pairs of plain black ankle boots that I wear to death during the Autumn/ Winter months. The cut outs make a nice chance and add something different. They can tend to look a little clumpy and masculine so I'd add a pair of ankle socks with a frilly trim, like these ones from Topshop.
Number 3 are a pair for £30 from New look and they don't look too different from the Jeffrey Campbells as seen in number 6. If you're like me and maybe not confident enough to go full on with the cut outs; number 4 (From ebay) are a nice subtle alternative.
I'm stuck now between number 3 or 4; which ones would you go for?

I have seen these boots on bloggers and celebrities and wondered if I would take on the trend as well. It has a great grunge vibe about them. I would pick 4 or 5.
ReplyDeleteSam you definitely could pull them off, they're amazing xx
DeleteLove #4 out of these, though I quite like #2 as well.
ReplyDeleteI find it so hard to choose! x
DeleteI love #3! I really want to get a pair of cut out boots but I just haven't been 100% on whether or not I should. I looked at #3 on the New Look website though and found these ones http://www.newlook.com/shop/shoe-gallery/boots/black-chunky-cut-out-buckle-ankle-boots_301685601 which are similar but have a patent finish and I think they're lovely :-) I might just go for it and order them!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, by the way.

Oooh love them as well, I like the matte ones though cause if they scratch it'll be less noticeable and I'm disaster prone lol x
DeleteI like 1 and 2. I don't have a cut out pair and there is one from Rag and bone I believe it is which is really awesome

I like chunky heels but having cut outs in boots seems a little oxymoronic. But I can imagine it will be perfect for wearing boots in summer. It makes me sad that I can't wear boots in summer because it's too hot xD
