A Soap&Glory Hit and Miss

Every girl and their mum and the woman who lives a few doors down seem to rave about Soap&Glory products and I'm no different. I love their face and body care and it's just so affordable as well as smelling amazing, so I find no negatives to their products. However, I never tried their make up range, so I was excited to try the mascara and lip gloss that came in their "Best of All" Christmas set.  All links are in the caption.

Soap and Glory Thick&Fast mascara £10      //      Soap&Glory Sexy mother pucker lip plumping gloss £9

Miss: I'm normally a red lip colour girl, so it was refreshing to try some-thing new. It looks gorgeous on the lips and is really pigmented and long lasting, I find even after eating or drinking you still don't even need to reapply this. However, when first applied to the lips it completely stings; it's such a strange sensation and is the lip plumping action working. I honestly just couldn't stand the feeling, it felt like I had pins& needles in my lips and I just had to take the lip colour off! It almost hurt to an extent, no just no! (If you can get passed this, then it's a great product and a great colour).

Hit: Thick&Fast is described as a "false lash effect mascara creating amazingly, longer, fuller, fabulous lashes". I've tried so many mascaras and I can honestly say I really love this. It leaves my lashes looking really long and dark as well as full and basically just does what it says on the tube! The product dries quite quickly on your lashes so you don't need to wait around for them to dry (which being so impatient is a pain for me)! This will definitely be a re-purchase.

Have you tried any Soap&Glory make-up; what do you think?

P.S I reached 600 followers yesterday which I'm so grateful for! I can't believe it happened so quickly, it's so exciting and I just wanted to say a quick thankyou and a hello to any new followers :) I recently did a little giveaway, but I think another one is due :)

  1. I completely get what you were saying about that weird tingly feeling! My Nana is an Avon lady, and she's always getting me to try their stuff, and all of their lip colors do this to me!

  4. I remember getting Thick and Fast as a magazine freebie a while ago and keep meaning to repurchase! Loved it. I'm the same with the glosses though, I find the feeling a bit much.

  14. The lip plumping gloss sounds good apart from the burning part but I suppose the product produces blood flow this enabling fuller lips but will defo have to give it a go as I do like lip plumping products lovely post x

  17. I am actually a big fan of the motherpucker because of the stinging feeling.. Strange I know, but here is my reasoning; I would wear this on a night out if I want my lips to plump up my lips. It really does work - I have seen pictures of me with it on and my lips look amazing!
But I wouldn't wear it on a daily bases because I agree - it does sting quite a bit! :O <3

  47. I love Soap and Glory makeup :) The mascara is soooo good and I completely agree with you on how nice it makes eyelashes look! I have to admit I love the sexy mother pucker lipgloss, I suppose I'm a bit of a weirdo - I love the tingly feeling it gives! I remember the first lip plumper I tried was Too Faced lip injection (I had it put on in a shop) and I was walking around feeling like I'd just been stung, it was really painful! but then I think I just got used to the feeling and now lip plumpers don't bother me at all :) x
