Without fail every year, there are two trends that are at complete opposite ends of the colour spectrum and that's pastels and brights. This year, monochrome is a massive trend for Spring/Summer, (post here), but the usual sorbet pastels and neon brights will also be popping up! (All links are just in the caption)
Peach dress      //      Mint shorts      //      Lilac shoes      //      rose dress      //      lemon skirt      //      Rose gold bag      //     Rose blouse 

Yellow dress      //      pink dress      //      red playsuit      //      yellow crop top      //      orange shoes      //      cobalt dress      //      green bag

I want to be a brights girl, but I don't know if I have the confidence, so I tend to stick with pastels. I love pastels as I can wear my usual bright red lipstick and it stands out, but I can't wear it with the brights or I might just look silly! Maybe this year, I'll be brave and embrace the brights. (Also, the amount of time I've wrote the word bright, it has lost all meaning...)

    They both look great and I'm the same with u - don't think I'm brave enough for bold brights so I would lean more towards pastels.

    I think that looking at the Pastels image, I would prefer to wear those, especially the lemon skirt! I think I also like pops of neon instead of a bright outfit.

    Hhhmm interesting question - I guess it depends what it is. For clothes I would go for pastels, for shoes and accessories I would go for brights, but not necessarily both together lol (pastels and brights)x

    I'm definitely a pastel kind of girl- mostly because they fit better with my skin tone. I also love a good pastel detail, like a lilac nail or something like that :)

    Both are so beautiful, nothing like a pop of colour to brighten up our outfits, but I am learning more towards the pretty subtle pastels. That lemon skirt is adorable!

    I love pastels for all over colour, but I also love brights to add a splash of colour or contrast to pretty neutral outfits. Those mint shorts look brilliant.

    I thought i was 100% a pastel fan but seeing the brights and I am spoilt for choice! I like colours in general but i think i'm more comfortable wearing pastels, i'm happy to hide in the background in muted colours x

    I wear a bit of both! I feel so confident in bright neon colours, yet so girly in peachy pinks so I wouldn't be able to pick just one!! xx

    I like both trends a lot, to me the key is how to style them. I feel the less we mix them with neutrals (specially black) the purest they will be. Great post :) An by the way your Spanish is quite good!

    You know, I like both! I think pastel and brights call for different occasions. But I do think you can wear brights even in Winter more so than pastels. Just my thoughts tho! xo
